If you are looking for a fun ride in the North Fork Park Area then you should check out combining Trail 365, Pipeline, Mule Ear and Mule Connector. This will give you almost 8 miles with just over 2200 feet of elevation of total elevation gain.

For this trail start out on Trail 365 and ride it all the way to where it joins up with Pipeline. When you get to Pipeline turn Left and continue on Pipeline until it meets up with Mule Shoe. There is a steep but short climb just past the bridge not far before you join up with Mule Shoe.

When you reach Mule Shoe hand a left and ride the short distance to the road. When you reach the road continue across the road to Mule Ear. This is where the long, sustained climb begins. Note that a good portion of the climb is exposed to full sunlight so be sure to plan accordingly. Bring water, snacks and plan to ride early or late in the day when the temperatures aren’t too hot.

At the bottom of Mule Ear (just before the road again) you will see the Mule Connector trail on your right. Follow this trail back to the other side of Mule Ear where you will hang a left again and ride back to the road. At the road, cross back to Mule Shoe and then watch for the Pipeline cut off on the right. From here you can follow Pipeline back to the main road just past the Yurt and return to your vehicle.

Total distance: 7.74 mi
Max elevation: 6505 ft
Min elevation: 5550 ft
Total climbing: 2274 ft
Total descent: -2273 ft
